Hungary
Hungary has a great literature, with so many poets and writers, although not many are well known abroad due to the limited extent of the Hungarian language. Some noted authors include Sa'ndor Ma'rai and Imre Kerte'sz, who have been gaining acclaim in recent decades. Ja'nos Kodola'nyi was more known in the middle of the twentieth century in Italy and Finland. Sa'ndor Ma'rai has a growing popularity nowadays in Europe. Imre Kerte'sz won Nobel Prize in Literature in 2002. Pe'ter Esterha'zy is known and popular in Austria and Germany ,and Magda Szabo' has become well-known in Europe recently as well. |
